Sharing ideas. Building a network in Europe. Developing skills.

EUROP’s roots go back to October 2004 in which leading European robotics organisations started to formulate the need for a consolidated approach to European robotics, which led to the constitution of EUROP as an ETP in October 2005. Since then the first SRA has been developed and published in May 2006 involving all European robotics stakeholders.  Then three years later, due to the collaboration among many European robotics manufacturers, system integrators, research institutes and universites a revised version of the SRA was published and presented. An Executive Summary of an intermediate version of the new SRA was published in June 2008; the final version was published and presented in July 2009.

This major process was supported through CARE, the Coordination Action for Robotics in Europe, funded under the 6th Framework Programme by the European Commission.
