As you might be interested in activities that are carried out in Cognitive Systems, Interaction and Robotics in the EU's Framework Programme 7 on research and technological development, we would like to inform you about an upcoming related event.
The sixth Call for Proposals of FP7 was released on 24 November 2009 and will close on 13 April 2010. Our Unit E5 of the Information Society and Media Directorate-General will organize an information event in Luxembourg on Thursday, 14th January 2010 to present the activities, focus and goals Challenge 2 "Cognitive Systems, Interaction and Robotics" within this Call.

In the morning there will be a plenary session, with an opening address by Patricia Manson, the Acting Director, and presentations by Libor Kral and other members of Commission staff, with opportunity for questions and discussion. The afternoon will be dedicated to parallel sessions where participants will have the possibility to briefly present their main areas of work and what they are looking for. Poster panels will be available for presenting ideas and meeting other people interested in participating in projects. Participants will also have the possibility to discuss their proposal with Commission staff in bilateral meetings.
