The Factories of the Future Public-Private Partnership(FoF PPP), launched under the European Economic Recovery Plan, addresses the development of the next generation of production technologies. It is an ambitious initiative with the overall budget of € 1.2 billion between 2010 and 2013 to be equally shared between the European Commission and the private sector.

Main objectives of the FoF PPP are: 

a) taking rapid measures to help the industry
b) focusing on long term growth which lies with research conducted through industry driven R&D projects
