Newsletter: EUROP Newsletter Issue No. 5 [28 May 2010]

Dear EUROP members,

We have several interesting and significant topics starting with the EURON / EUROP Annual Meeting on 10-12 March 2010. I must thank the European robotics community for its enthusiastic participation, support, and tremendous input. I can confidently say the members of the European robotics industry together with their academic counterparts have reached a new milestone concerning Robotics in Europe. We are definitely on the right track and will keep the trend going.

The following topics are included in this issue:

Enjoy the read, and as always, we welcome your comments, suggestions and feedback.

Looking forward to seeing you at the AUTOMATICA 2010 in Munich.

The First Joint EURON / EUROP Annual Meeting 2010

On 10 March 2010, more than 230 roboticists from both, industry and academia, met for three days in Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain with the overall vision of  closing the gap between industry and academia. Based on the enthusiastic participation of the European robotics experts, the conclusion is obvious: both communities, the European robotics industry and academia, want better communication, cooperation, and exchange of information.
The next EURON / EUROP Annual Meeting, will be held on 6-8 April 2011 in Västeras, Sweden hosted by Robotdalen.
