European Industrial Technologies Conference
Date: 7-9 September
On 7, 8 and 9 September 2010, a major conference in the area of Industrial Technologies will be organised by the European Commission in cooperation with the Belgian EU Presidency. The focus will be on nanotechnologies and nanosciences, materials and production technologies, which are the key areas of the FP7 NMP Theme. The conference is also supported by the Manufuture European Technology Platform which represents the major European industries and research organisations in the field of manufacturing.
Geoff Pegman, EUROP's SME representative and Managing Director of RU Robots Ltd., will give a talk regarding EUROP's SRA.
Information Day on the FP7 NMP Calls
Date: 9 September 2010
An Information Day on the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) 'Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies' (NMP) calls will take place on 9 September 2010 in Brussels, Belgium.
FP7's 3rd Call for Proposals: Positioning, Navigation and Timing Applications, plus Information Day on 22 September
The European GNSS Supervisory Authority (GSA) - on behalf of the European Commission - has just launched the 3rd call for proposals for Positioning and Navigation Applications in the frame of EU's FP7. The total value of this call is €38 mil.

Date: 28th September 2010, in EXPO Brussels, Belgium
Registration deadline for the Networking and Brokerage event (28 Sept.) is until 17th September
Registration deadline for the ICT 2010 event (27-29 Sept.) and participation at the Ideal-ist Networking Session is until 21st September
In order to support participants to facilitate the setup of FP7 project consortia and hence submit successful proposals for the upcoming Calls offered by the Framework Programmes of the European Union, the two networks "Ideal-ist", the worldwide ICT support network - and "Enterprise Europe Network" are organizing an international Networking and Brokerage event, as well as a Networking Session where new project ideas on ICT are presented and discussed.
The Third Call for ECHORD Experiment Proposals Is Now Open
The deadline is October 1st 2010, 17:00 Brussels time.
To outline the scope of the research work three scenarios have been defined that represent the expected use of state-of-the-art robot technologies in the near future: the human robot co-worker scenario, the hyper-flexible cells scenario and the cognitive factory scenario.
This call for experiment proposals targets the third scenario, cognitive factory.
The Antonio D’Auria Prize 2010 - the Italian Association of Robotics and Automation (SIRI)
Application deadline: 30 November 2010
SIRI – Italian Association of Robotics and Automation – announces a prize of 3,000 Euros for studies, plans, patents and prototypes of innovative robotic devices to aid a disabled motor in the domestic, health and emergency services, as well as hostile environments.
The prize is open to European citizens and is given biannually.
